Kaat Vrancken

Kaat Vrancken (b. 1957) is the author of picture books, middle grade and the occasional YA novel. Her style is clear and to the point. Her books for kindergarten and primary school children, in which she illustrates familiar situations from unexpected perspectives, have enjoyed particular success. Vrancken has won several awards for her work, including two Zilveren Griffels and a Boekenleeuw.
