Kaatje Vermeire

Kaatje Vermeire (b. 1981) invites readers to go astray in her quirky illustrations, a combination of collage, painting, drawing, graphic and digital techniques. Her work is an exciting display of technical possibilities, which translates into atmospheric, surprising and carefully designed compositions. Vermeire’s experiments keep her interested, a playful and restless approach that leads to a dynamic and always surprising oeuvre in which she adds an extra dimension to the story.
